Low Vision Care

(Program)

Provides evaluations and follow-ups for individuals who have some remaining usable vision. Staffed with optometrists and ophthalmologists who are certified as low-vision specialists. Services include evaluation of eyesight, prescriptions for low vision optical aids and devises, recommendations for special adaptive devises, and additional training and adaptation skills.

Eligibility: Individuals who have some remaining usable vision

Application Process: Call for information and services

Required Documentation: Documentation of visual impairment

Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI)

Provides a variety of services and resources for individuals who are blind or visually impaired including employment, orientation and mobility training, vision rehabilitation services, technology and assistive equipment services, and specialized children's services.
