Disaster Services

(Program)

* Provides disaster assistance which is financial or direct assistance to individuals and families whose property has been damaged or destroyed as a result of a federally-declared disaster, and whose losses are not covered by insurance.
* Provides disaster survivor resources.
* Offers disaster recovery centers where individuals or families can go to for information about FEMA or other programs.
* Offers a service in which individuals who have been denied assistance the ability to appeal the decision. Appeals must be made in writing and sent by mail or fax within 60 days of receiving the letter.
