Oneida County Family Court

(Program)

Hears matters involving children and families including adoption, guardianship, foster care approval and review, juvenile delinquency, family violence, child abuse and neglect, as well as child support, custody, and visitation.

Offers Family Treatment Court, designed to help families stay together by providing intensive case management services. Assists participants in addressing substance abuse and other issues which may prevent them from parenting their children. Provides referrals to chemical dependency services.

Eligibility: Children and family related cases within Oneida County; for Family Treatment Court, individuals must have a new neglect petition pending, be evaluated by the Family Treatment Court staff, and admit to neglect petition
