Advocacy Services

(Program)

* Provides the Child Custody Advocate Program - assists children caught in the middle of custody disputes.
  • Explores the background and current family situation of the child.
  • Presents the court with findings to assist in the decision concerning custody and visitation.

Eligibility: Petition filed for establishment or change of custody/visitation and appointment by Judge or Court Referee.

Application Process: Parents, attorneys or other interested parties may request the appointment of an Advocate by the Judge or Court Referee.

Required Documentation: Intake/Referral form.

Fees: No fee for services.

Herkimer, Madison and Oneida Counties.
