Child Support Services

(Program)

Assists custodial parents and their children find an absent parent, establish legal fatherhood for a child, get a support order from court, collect child support payments from an absent parent, and enforce court orders when child support is not paid.

Eligibility: Oneida County residents with child support agreements

Application Process: Call, go online, or visit in person for information and services

Required Documentation: No documentation initially required

Fees: $35 and applies only when all the following conditions are met: - the custodial parent has never received assistance through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program (TANF) - child support is being paid to the family - more than $550 of support is collected and paid to the family during the federal fiscal year (October 1 - September 30)
