United Way of the Mohawk Valley

Provides funding assistance to local programs through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process every two years. The programs serve residents in Herkimer and Oneida Counties in upstate New York. Outcomes are measured in the areas of health, education, and financial stability. Additionally, the following are United Way lead initiatives:
- Academics First
- Volunteers United
- Ride United
- Housing & Homelessness
- 211 Mid-York
Eligibility: No direct service to the community.
Application Process: By appointment.
Required Documentation: None.
Fees: No fee for service.

United Way of the Mohawk Valley is a fundraiser and intermediary organization with a mission to mobilize the caring power of the Mohawk Valley by connecting people, resources, and ideas to create a thriving community. The agency also oversees the 211 Mid-York information and referral service.
