Herkimer County Youth Bureau

(Program)

Provides comprehensive youth services to all youth in Herkimer County. Offers a 7-week employmenyt opportunity during the summer for youth to gain experience at local schools, non-profits, municipalities (offices and playgrounds), local hospitals, nursing homes and county government offices.

Offers free transportation during the summer months for Herkimer Coutny youth who have employment in Old Forge and otherwise do not have transportation to and from their respective job site.

Eligibility: Youth ages 14 to 21 years residing in Herkimer County

Application Process: Call or go online for information; contact county legislator for Youth Bureau application

Required Documentation: Social security card, birth certificate/driver's license, and current physical examination
