* Offers information and referral on programs and services for the blind and visually impaired.
* Provides legislative advocacy on laws affecting blind persons.
* Offers college scholarships to blind and visually impaired students.
* Provides legislative and governmental monitoring.
* Holds annual conference featuring a large trade show of the latest high- and low-tech gadgets for blind and visually impaired people.

* Publishes monthly magazine, "The ACB Braille Forum," in braille, large print, on digital cartridge, via email, podcast, and download.

* Has an Internet radio station, ACB Media (https://www.acbmedia.org), which offers ten channels of music, talk, and entertainment.

* ACB's Community Events offer a wide variety of topics, from education to technology training, cooking and social events, braille classes, games, yoga, and much more. Visit https://www.acb.org/acb-community-events to learn more.

* ACB's Audio Description Project (https://www.acb.org/audio-description-project) maintains a list of audio-described movies, broadcast TV, DVDs, performing arts, museums, and national parks on their website. The project also offers two Audio Description Institutes each year, where people can learn how to become audio describers.


Eligibility: Blind or visually impaired people, families, friends, doctors, teachers.
Volunteer opportunities available. Must be at least 15 years old. Email volunteer@acb.org for convention volunteer opportunities; info@acb.org for sighted guide on Capitol Hill opportunities.
