Crime Victim Specialist Program

(Program)

Provides outreach for individuals who are primary or secondary victims of serious crimes such as domestic violence, sexual assault, homicide, manslaughter, DUI/DWI with injuries, assault with injuries, elder abuse or neglect, arson, burglary, robbery, human trafficking, hate crime, mass violence, financial crimes for victims over 60, vehicular victimization, home invasions, and critical incidents.

Can assist with New York State Office of Victim Services Program and confidentiality applications for the Address Confidentiality Program (ACP).
 

Eligibility: Victim must be innocent; preferably victim has or would like to file a police report, but not necessary for eligibility

Handles cellular 911 calls and is responsible for general law enforcement, traffic regulations and the protection of people and property within Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, and Oswego counties.
