Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Groups

(Program)

Offers peer- and professionally-led groups for caregivers and others dealing with Alzheimer's disease in locations throughout Central New York. All support groups are facilitated by trained individuals. Offered groups are being updated, please call for specific information and location of current groups.

Eligibility: Caregivers, friends, and family members of individuals with a dementia diagnosis, and caregivers of people with Alzheimer's under age 65

Application Process: Call for information and services and/or to register for support groups

Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter

Provides information about Alzheimer's disease and dementia and assists family caregivers by providing core services: information and referral, education, care consultation, support groups and safe return. Offers a dementia-specific adult day program.
