Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Certification

(Program)

* Assists eligible Veteran business owners in getting certified as a New York State Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) to support eligible SDVOBs to play a greater role in the state's economy by increasing their participation in New York State's contracting opportunities.

Eligibility: One or more service-disabled veterans, with a service-connected disability rating of 10% or more from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (or from the New York State Division of Veterans’ Affairs for National Guard veterans), must own at least 51% of the business. The business must be independently owned and operated and have a significant business presence in New York State.

Application Process: Download and fill-out the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Certification Application.

Required Documentation: Supporting documentation is required with the application. See application for documents required.

Fees: No fees for services.
